Core i9 tops Intel X-Series processors – Fastest intel processor
If you like to take the concept of multitasking to the extreme, Intel offers you some new and expensive processors.
Intel on Tuesday introduced its new series of processors known as X-Series during the Computex trade show in Taipei, Taiwan. With a focus on content creators, end users, and professional gamers, Intel is using all the superlatives it has on hand to promote the extreme processing power offered by its new processors.
The X-Series has processors with four to 10 cores. Intel promises that in the future will have options of 12, 14, 16 and up to 18 cores. The more cores, the more processing power.
All this power will not come cheap at all. The 10-core X-Series (Core i9-7900X) will be priced at $ 999, while the 18-core Core i9-7980XE at $ 1,999.
