What is Asia
Asia is a continent, which is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean in the north, the Indian Ocean in the south, the Pacific Ocean in the east and the continent of Europe in the west as well as some parts of the Atlantic Ocean .
Some boundaries of Asia meet with Europe, due to which it is also called Eurasia. Compared to other continents, many types of diversity are found in Asia. Asia is said to be the birth place of many very ancient civilizations like the Indus Valley. Asia is very different from other continents in terms of landmass, as it is home to the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, and the lowest point on Earth, the Dead Sea., If we talk about culture, Asia has been the center of cultural and trade activities since ancient times. The continent of Asia is also called the birthplace of different religions, because people of different religions such as Hinduism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Islam, Sikhism etc. have been living here since ancient times. Along with this, the world’s tallest statue is in India located in the south of the continent of Asia. People living in Asia are known as Asians or Asians in other continents outside Asia.
