At least 30 people have been injured in a train wreck at a station in Andermatt, central Switzerland, police and railway officials said. The accident occurred at 11.30 local time when a “collision” occurred during a training maneuver of a regional train of the company Cervino-Gotardo, composed of a locomotive and five wagons.
On the train were 100 passengers and about 30 people were injured in the accident, police said. No passenger suffers serious injuries, said the authorities, who noted that the cantonal police has taken over the investigation of the accident. At the scene of the collision is firefighters and emergency teams from Andermatt, those responsible for the railway company ‘Cervino-Gotardo’ and the cantonal police.
