सरकार ने भीम कैशबैक योजना की अवधि अगले साल मार्च तक बढ़ा दी है। इस योजना के तहत भीम एप से भुगतान स्वीकार करने वाले दुकानदरों को 1,000 रुपये तक का प्रोत्साहन दिया जाता है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय के एक नोट में कहा गया है कि दुकानदारों के लिए भीम कैशबैक योजना 31 मार्च, 2018 तक परिचालन में रहेगी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भीम ऐप से नकदीरहित भुगतान को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए 14 अप्रैल को छह महीने के लिए यह योजना पेश की थी। इस योजना के तहत दुकानदारों को पहले 20 से 50 लेनदेन पर 50 रुपये का कैशबैक मिलता है। उसके बाद 950 रुपये तक अगले प्रत्येक लेनदेन पर दो रुपये का कैशबैक दिया जाता है। भीम कैशबैक योजना की मासिक सीमा 1,000 रुपये की है। इस योजना के तहत शर्त यह है कि दुकानदार कम से कम 20 लेनदेन भारत इंटरफेस फार मनी (भीम एप) से करे। प्रत्येक भुगतान कम से कम 25 रुपये होना चाहिए। व्यापारियों के लिए भीम कैशबैक योजना भीम कैशबैक स्कीम के दो उद्देश्य हैं- भीम के प्लेटफॉर्म पर पंजीकृत व्यापारियों की संख्या बढ़ाना और भीम ऐप के जरिए कारोबारी लेनेदेन की संख्या बढ़ाना। इस योजना का लक्ष्य व्यापारियों को सिर्फ एक बार भीम ऐप इस्तेमाल करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना नहीं है। बल्कि यह भीम मोड (क्यूआर कोड या वीपीए या मोबाइल नंबर या “आधार से भुगतान”) के जरिए भी लेनदेन को प्रोस्ताहित करती है। इस योजना के तहत, एक व्यापारी को हर महीने 300 रुपये तक कैशबैक मिल सकता है। वहीं हर व्यापारी 6 महीने में 1,800 रुपये तक का फ़ायदा ले सकता है।
