Apple to sell 15 million units of Apple Watch this year: report
Apple is preparing to close the year with high sales of its smart watches, all thanks to its upcoming Apple Watch Series 3.
As per the report, Apple Watch will add 15 million units sold throughout the year, and 4.5 million units will be in the fourth quarter of the year and thanks to the new model of the smart clock that will have LTE connectivity, according to several reliable rumors.
The new model of the watch, expected in September, will boost sales throughout 2018. Around 20 million Apple Watches would be sold next year, 5 million more than expected during the current year.
While Apple enjoys and enjoys quarters with good sales of the smart watch, competitors are not experiencing the same. Samsung, LG, Huawei, and Motorola have not had good sales of their watches, and the bracelets – like Xiaomi- are the most sold. Some manufacturers, like Asus, have even decided to leave the market.
Meanwhile, Apple is preparing for the launch of its third generation, which will be the first to include LTE connectivity to receive information from the apps without the need to connect the iPhone but will not be able to make calls. This model would come hand in hand with a model without LTE and obviously more affordable.
Apple has not confirmed anything about the Apple Watch Series 3 but is believed to be presented by the iPhone 8 , the two models of the iPhone 7S and at the same time reveal the release dates of iOS 11 , macOS High Sierra, TvOS 11 and watchOS 4.
