The Longest Insect in the World lives in China

A stick insect in China has surpassed the length of his mother, who held the record before. According to a statement from the official Xinhua news agency, this insect ( phryganistria Chinese ) has been bred at the Western China Insect Museum (IMWC) in Chengdu (Sichuan).

Zhao Li, the head of the museum, found the insect’s mother during a field inspection in the Zhuang Autonomous Region of Guangxi in southern China in 2014.
